Thank you to our wonderful ArtSmart parent for directing us in this fun circus collage. We cut sharp angles to make border. We used an extra large coffee filter to make the mane of the lion. Then we decorated the lion’s face. Last, we cut out the letters of “circus.” We also got artistic in making the art for our forest/squirrel study. We used unconventional brushes: cardboard for tree trunks and sponges for leaves. Look at these colorful blots. Look for them as part of our spring auction!!!
Raz Kids. This is a new program we are trying out. We can read the books. Listen to the books. Then take a short quiz on the books. Plus, all the books each child choose is within their appropriate reading levels!!! Give it a try at home!
We are starting our non-fiction animal study! We will be researching. Here is our library of non-fiction books. We spent the week introducing the books. We first sorted them by different categories: amphibians/reptiles, birds, dinosaurs, insects/spiders, mammals, ocean animals, habitats, and encyclopedia/mixed animals.
Can we stack the cups in columns, using index cards? Look at us stack! We have the makings of future civil engineers. Here we are laying out roads for the cars. Kids can use blocks and rulers.
