I feel so special appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful Teacher's appreciation week. I am so fortunate to have a wonderful group of students and supported by our awesome families.
Hello to our new Osmo friend--Awbie. This is a coding app using the Osmo program. It’s a combination of hands-on manipulatives an ipad app. Osmo coding teaches logic skills and problem solving. Some students came up to me telling it wouldn’t work. I told them they have to figure it out! Is it glitching? Or is is something they did or didn’t do?
Here’s a slide with a purpose. A pair of kids wanted to share about Cinco de Mayo...in a slide! They spent the better part of the class day collaborating, doing some online researching, and working on a shared slide. [The “share” feature on google allows two or more people to simultaneously work on a single document together, yet from different computers. Kids could be sitting side-by-side, across the room, or in each of their own homes working on this shared piece.] It was awesome to see the kids work through this together and then present it to the class.
