We coupled our spring poem with our insect super sentences. Remember super sentences are color coded to include: adjective, noun, verb, and prepositonal phrase. We applied our parts of speech usage from super sentences to our our prior kowledge of insects. In parterns of two, we wrote our sentences together! They certainly are not simple sentences! Super Sentences for sure! Come read them on our wall.
Our favorite papa shared about one of his biggest passion--space. He showed us a series of photos of the sun, moon, and planets of our Milky Way. He had so much facts to share. He was also happpy to take our questions and comments. He even showed us an artist illustration of Planet X. A possible furthest planet that is so dark and cold, that we can't even sit it! May Papa's love for space inspire our curiousity.
We are so lucky to be in Room 20. We had some green fun for St. Patrick’s day with our big buddies. The 5th graders have been working on graphing. We have been working on sorting and classifying. How perfect to combine the two! First we separated out the marshmallow shapes from the grain cereal. Then we sorted by colors and shapes. Last we graphed it on our papers. Well, actually the last thing we did was enjoy our Lucky Charm treats.
Here's our 100 Acts of Kindness for Valentine's Day. Originally the hearts had decorated the border of our big smartboard. Now it's a chair decoration on our door. We want to celebrate our acts of kindness everyday!
